Thank you, Bro. Raven,
Yes, we have a goodly heritage, don't we! I thank God for it too!
Those who came out of the Great Depression, birthed the children
who served in WWII. Tom Brokaw wrote "The Greatest Generation"
about those who served our country during WWII. Our Dad served
in the Phillipeans and in Japan, treating the wounded and helping to
carry the soldiers who were killed, off the front lines of battle. His
younger brother served in two or three battles during the wars.
Other family members, cousins, uncles, etc. also served. We four
older children were little stair steps with the oldest being seven yrs.
when Dad left.
We, the children of those who served in WWII are called, "The Silent
Generation". Listen and learn. And we did. But Paul said when he
became a man (mature adult) he put away childish things. Children
only need to be quiet until they mature and learn and then the older
can teach the younger. But someone has to mature first. It's way past
time for that "Silent Generation" to arise and speak up. I have a feeling
you understand what I am saying!
Blessings,
