My hubby had his ear pierced when he was a young man. After we married we both had two holes in our left ears. We both wore a small diamond stud in the upper hole and a small gold hoop in the lower.
We matched!!!
After not wearing earrings for close to 20 years, we found that the holes never did close up. He wore a small diamond a couple of times since then. Mostly at family gatherings, and definitely for the shock value.
