Your post is excellent except for your first sentence. He was God. "In the beginning was the Word...the Word was God...the Word was made flesh..." You would have to say that the Word ceased being God to say that Jesus was not God from the start. No, he was God. But he performed his works as the second Adam. The man had to be anointed with his own Spirit. But to say that he was purely man and not God prior to that anointing is "adoptionism." Oneness doctrine is not "adoptionism."
