A lot of single folks in their twilight years I've met seem to be holding out for some fantasty person and nobody is perfect enough for them... and they are too secure in their life to let somebody else in...
Once they've reached the point of independance and security...there's no room for anybody else...
Insecurity at the beginning of a relationship is good because through time you learn you can lean on each other thru thick or thin...
Most folks who reach the age your talking about are too secure in who they are or who they've become to trust somebody else to help them or they've played the game so much with their own life they refuse to open that door that brings people together...
and it's sad..
as for me and my wife... we stay extremely romantic....glances...touch...hugs..kisses....word s....
