I know there were two Sabbaths that year, but was told it was Thursday Sabbath. If He was crucified on Wednesday, why did Joseph get him off the cross because the Sabbath was about to begin at 6pm? It didn't start until 6pm on Thursday.
He could have risen ten minutes before they arrived. Who knows?
According to
Matthew 28, the angel rolled the stone away as the women were on their way, or so it seems. Now, whether or not that's when He arose is anyone's guess, as it doesn't say.
Strangely enough, in
Mark 14, it appears that Jesus partook of the passover of unleavened bread. Read through verse 16. Weird. Never noticed that before.
Anyway, this is interesting. Let me know what else you find out.
