People will only care about our message when they know that we care about them. And they're not going to know we care about them by how we dress. JAXFAM6 made the perfect point when he pointed out that Jesus didn't dress differently than the world around Him. The impact He made was based on what He DID - not what He wore.
Jaamez, I would ask that you go back and read my other remarks and please do not take them out of context.

"True the Bible does not state that a man cannot wear shorts. It does not state that a person can not smoke. It does speak of markings on the body and following the world. Standards are different from church to church. The Bible is clear on one thing. 1 Peter 2:9, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
As a child of God you should stand out from the rest of the world. You should not be as one of them. Does that mean you're not to talk to them? No. Be friends but let your light shine bright for all to see."

"The inward man must stand out. We are to let our light shine for all mankind to see. At the same time as a child of God we are a peculiar people. Not only in the way we worship or believe, but the way we look and act. God did not intend for us to live as close to the edge of the world as we think we can or should."

I do not go around wearing a suit all the time. You will find me more often than not in a pull over shirt or tee shirt and jeans. I do not wear shorts because it is a personal conviction. I do not judge others for wearing them.
Even so, I have been ask about being a oneness person while wearing jeans.
Why? Becasue something is different about a child of God.

RandyWayne said it best "dress modestly.

If you wish to use "Jesus didn't dress differently than the world around Him"
attitude, then I must ask, when in Rome do you do as the Romans. Be careful how you answer.

Test. Are you sure you know that Jesus dressed as the others?
