Can we have an abortion of the Faith?
I believe that by God's grace provision is made for us to hear the Gospel. This is not by coincidence or chance but by divine destiny. Either by a friend, family, or an invitation to a bible study or service God opens the door.
By this manner faith is inseminated into the human heart.
This faith brings a confession from the heart. Repentance occurs.
In the natural progression of life the birth needs to occur. Baptism
As a final result of birth, life is continued by breathing the life giving oxygen for life to continue. Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Also nutrients are needed to sustain life. The Word. Being in Christ. Like attached to the vine.
If there is an abortion of the faith the natural process of continued life will cease to exist. This can occur in the womb, after birth, or even by being cut off from the vine, or the cares of life robbing us of our faith. We are able to apostate.
For life to naturally continue one cannot have life apart from the Spirit and the Word which bring breath and nourishment to our spiritual bodies.
Life begins at faith for without faith none of these other things are possible. So if we give the impression that at repentance salvation occurs life is really incomplete. We can argue the technicalities however if these other things do not occur are we giving false hope to the prospective believer? If Salvation has already occurred these other things are done just to show that you are saved? Is it possible for us to cause a spiritual abortion by giving incomplete information?
Is that why the whole gospel to the whole world is important? The full message of where life begins and how life can end. That is why so many verses teach on our faith not failing.
Sure we want to focus on where faith will lead us but do we do an injustice by giving a false hope?
Is acts 2.38 true completely or just partially?
Your opinions or scripture to back the truth of your stance.
God Bless
