I'll never understand though, why someone like John McCain feels the need to defend and support assault weapons. NO ONE other than law enforcement needs those. I haven't met a single hunter at any gun club that uses assault weapons for sport of hunting. They are killing machines and have no other use. I have no interest in allowing those things to be present on the streets and in public where my family and I are.

Well, we are not in law enforcement, but we like our assault weapon.
Don't ban them, I can unload while I'm running.
