Praise Him,
TGIF!
Confess your faults one to another that ye may be healed.
Becoming co-dependent does lead to further failure in people but does not give us the excuse to avoid the practice of confession.
Common sense and wisdom will lead us to posotive results with those who need someone to confide in.
Anyone who's been married a long time, knows, without honesty and confession a marriage will lack trust, leading to dilluted communication and poor relationship.
If anyone knows this (about co-dependecy), pastors do. People can latch on and never let go. I've often told folks, "It's time for you to fly on your own." The people business is a tough one. It's never been easy, and never will be. The Cross is proof of that.
We cringe when people ask for our cloke, let alone our coat as well. We save some by pulling them out of the fire. Not all reach for my hand but I keep trying.
God Bless
