In "ye olden days" -not 60 years ago, but many hundreds, if a representative of the king came to a village and shouted out a proclamation in "the name of the king!", everyone knew who it was and it carried the same weight as if the king himself said it.
Now I was baptized in Jesus name and would tell others to do likewise, but I also do believe baptism in the titles (only) is not an automatic hell sentence.
