We know what Peter said when he ministered healing in Acts chapter 3 when he said, "in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."

We know what Paul said when he cast out a demon in Acts 16 when he said, "I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her."

But, we have no place in our KJV New Testament where a baptism is described like that and where the person administering the ritual is actually quoted.

I personally believe that the name Jesus should be spoken or invoked. I do not think it negates the baptism if titles (like Lord and/or Christ) are added to the name.

In the AESV Bible in Acts 15 it mentions pouring water three times on the person in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost but again, this is a reference to baptism. It does not describe the ritual being done and does not quote the words used.
Sam, do you think the Word of God is real or make believe? I was clear on my answer to your clear question. You are looking for an easy way out and it's not there. Both of us can go back and forth with items from the Bible on what & how WE think it should be. How do you think they were baptized according to the example in Acts 19:5. No the Bible does not say what wording was used. But it did give a name which was applied. Were not talking about the wording used but the NAME APPLIED. I don't care if one says, Jimmy all is well and good I now baptize you in the name of Jesus. It comes down to the NAME. Should they say according to you "I baptize you in the name of--------------" JESUS, that is fine also.

My friend you need to get out of so many different bibles. Do I use different bibles to study. Sometimes. But I never let them cloud my understand of the truth. Truth is no where in the word can you show me a baptism (by any wording) that used the title F, S, HG.
