I don’t know who Pastor Mark Arnold is. I thought I would pass this on with no comment. This is in reference to a September 9, 2008 meeting in Lebanon, Ohio.

let me know what you think about all of this.
Burdened for all of our Leaders!

Pastor Mark Arnold
The above reason is why the magician James Randi will never have to give up his check for 1 million dollars. It's because of these false and bogus stories that discredit the Pentecostal movement in our country.

It is this kind of flaky, touchy, feely warped and weirdness, that send the likes of Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens, and Dan Dennet into fits of laughter, holding their stomachs, while rolling on the floor with tears streaming from their eyes. Cessationist movements like the Baptists, Church of Christ, Presbyterians, and Lutherans mock when they hear these failed predictions.

Now before you all go into a tail spin allow me to say this, I have heard prophets of God, speak a word, and nail it dead bull’s-eye. Predictions that were as accurate as if they had already happened. Yet, these were not individuals who were running around e-mailing people of their daring do. These were Brothers who were working within and among the people of God.

It is truly amazing to hear individuals squawk about spiritual abuse, manipulation, blast standards of dress, and then turn around and give credence to this mumbo jumbo and outright hooey.

These false prophets make these predictions and blame the people that the predictions were given to, and then walk away unscathed. They blame the individual who the prophecy was spoken over. They say, they didn't pray, or they weren't obedient to the prophet, and so on and so on. Yet, we never hear or see any stipulations, or clauses given by the prophet when he or she make these jack leg claims.

Everyone started jumping up and down when they heard Sarah Palin was baptized in Jesus name. She wasn't, and because we as a movement don't work hard to "PROVE ALL THINGS," we end up with egg on our faces.

I sit with a man almost everyday who has worked the Stock Market for years.
He makes predictions by indicators that he sees while doing research. When he sees something about to happen, he will predict on the way it "MAY" go.
I said all that to say this, when we get so locked into giving credence to individuals who have a bean or pizza dream we gain their spirit. Or parking lot prophets who meet you after service and tell you a prophecy of vagueness, based totally on "cold-call methods." Then we get cynical and caulous to a point that even the real deal gets bypassed. If the Brothers and Sisters in our movement will look a little closer to the bug on the leaf, and place these jokers under the hot white light of the scriptures and Holy Ghost discernment, then we may, just may, see this kind of foolishness go the way of the wooly Mammoth.

In Jesus name

Brother Benincasa
