Leighlani Paselio, 15, has played basketball for 8 years.. in a skirt! She is one of the Top players in her County and was a Varsity Starter in her Freshman year, having been trained by Dee Brown from the Celtics! She says, "Playing Basketball has helped me discipline myself by learning to put God first, then School, and then sports last. I've had to learn to keep my priorities right." Leighlani also claims that playing Basketball has helped her show the love of God to her team mates and Coaches.

Skirts in action!

"Since I have been playing random people come up to me and ask me why I wear a skirt, which gives me an opportunity to witness to them and explain about the stand I take. Some people don't understand but I let me them know it's a personal choice and a commitment to God. My grandma is my skirt maker and thread by thread separates my basketball shorts and makes a skirt out of them for me. I also play Volleyball in a skirt. In my future I plan on playing College Basketball and Majoring in Sports Medicine and continuing using my gift to share the Gospel" says Leighlani.
