Hebrews 7:3 says he was "without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest forever." So there it says he has no descent but then in verse 6 it says he does have a descent but it is not counted. In other words, he did not have the proper pedigree to be a priest just like Jesus did not have the proper pedigree to be a priest. |
