The tithe mentioned and taught by the Law was agricultural. Jesus mentioned this in Matthew 23:23, where He speaks of tithing of mint, anise, and cummin. In Hebrews 7, Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek once, and did so freely, not of command. This was the tithe, the first fruit offering unto the High Priest of God, and was willful. None of the verses rendered called the saints to pay the tithe tax for being a believer.

Good articles for consideration though.

Of course almost everything Jesus talked about was agriculture....take seed plant it in the ground...so we ought to just scrape about 1/2 of the gospels unless you're a farmer.
