He worked for Ford Motors in Detroit for 10 years and has left them and studying to be a nurse. He has one more year to go to get his degree. He will be a great nurse! He is a great person! He talked about seeking God's will for his life and ways to serve others. When my wife asked him what church he was affiliated with, he said, "Catholic." He said his brother and sister are no longer Catholic but Presbyterian and are in some type of mission work in medicine. He mentioned looking forward to giving some of his time to serve with them in a clinic. As a "one-stepper" I have no problem considering him my brother. His attitude and demeanor radiated the love of God.
A few more words about this young man named Steve. Yesterday my wife was dismissed from the hospital. A couple of nurses on the floor came by to see how she was doing. One mentioned that she would continue to pray for her. When Pat mentioned Steve, they all agreed that he was a remarkable young man. One nurse said that because of his schedule, Steve is rarely there and it was not an accident that he was there that particular day when he was needed so. They felt like God had arranged that.
