I think what I find compelling is that the ark mentioned in
Revelation 11:19 isn't called, "the ark of God" or "ark of Heaven". It is the "ark of the testament" (or covenant). A covenant is established by at least two parties. If something is relating to that covenant it was present at the establishment of said covenant. That being said, I believe that the ark mentioned in
Revelation 11:19 actually contains the Law of Moses that was present at the time of the covenant between God and Israel making it the ark we are so familiar with.
I think this is a sound position because too many Christians have made themselves look like idiots with outlandish claims and speculations regarding the ark. Also futurists salivate over the idea of finding the ark, because the soon appearance of a rebuilt temple is the implication. They are trying to use headlines and snippets from tabloids to support their theology. But if you guys want to go on speculating with them every year about "ark this" or "ark that"... be my guest.
