Depends on your reasons.
We don't let our kids watch tv during the summer at all, but if they go to a friend's house, the occasional tv or video is okay.
(My theory being that summertime is playtime--not veg-out-on-the-couch time)
I know folks that don't have a tv in their home that don't really see anything wrong with watching it necessarily, except that its a big time-waster.
*shrug*
But if you preach that watching tv is a sin? Or even that having one in your home is a sin? Then yes, its hypocritical.
