Re: PEAK attendence (July 22-24)
Here we go with a offering. Any California money in this house?!!! Any Texas money?!!! How bout them rich Ohians?!!! How bout Maine?!! After each state the organ plays.
"I heard yall didn't know how to give an offering."
I want on record as being against this type of offering. Just let the people give without screaming and such.
I once went to the America on Fire meeting in Dallas, and a big preacher was up there telling people if they didn't give their families would be wrecked. He went on threatening for about ten minutes. Pentecostals all over got up and gave. It was ridiculous, and I say ungodly.
Later on that night, as Bro. Mark Morgan was preaching, a black lady, wearing pants, walked up in the middle of the preaching (he wasn't preaching on giving, he was preaching on the holy Ghost), she came up and threw money on the platform, after that people were giving all over the place, without having been threatened.
That is how offering should be. Not necessaily lacking a formal anouncement to take one, but minus the "Billy Mays phase".
