I do taxes for myself and a friend all the time. She owes money and last year I filed for an extension but didn't file the paperwork. They told me that the paperwork gets filed regardless, and the extension is for the money owed.

It's the same way this year. She owes again this year but I've already filed her paperwork. The money will be sent by October.
Looking further into this matter this morning, it seems the guy told me wrong last year.

Weird. Now I have to tell my friend that her taxes are due today!
