I take it they're going to give them until the end of the Congressional recess, and then the train is leaving the station. It'll be interesting to see if the moderate Repub's like Grassley and others hold their current positions or decide they'd like to talk after all. A bold move by the Obama administration.

Oh yes, such a bold, manly move by BHO.
I have no problem with the BHO allowing the Dems to dig his (and their) grave(s).
As for deciding they'd (Republicans) like to talk ... they've been talking. Dems repeatedly have done procedural moves to block them out of the process or limit discussion.
If the plan is all the admin says it is, and it's good for the american public, then allow the process to work. Don't try to shove it thru. Read the bill and allow time for debate. Why the initial demand from BHO to get it done before the August recess?
Even BHO himself doesn't know what the bill has in it - that's a fact from a statement he made that I'm sure you can easily find.
If GWB had done this with a bill, you would be the first in line to complain about it. And if the Republicans had tried shoving a bill thru without the Dems, again, I guarantee you wouldn't be praising it as a bold move.
Again, the Dems and BHO are welcome to dig their own graves with this legislation and try to pass it without Republican support.
