Fed-Ex and UPS sure do a good job competing with the Postal Service don't they? Private business is not only competing with a gov't run entity but beating them. The three of them competing in that environment makes it cheaper for you and I to ship things.

You did hear that the Post Offices is always having problems didn't you? If it were a private run business it would not be in business.
