By the way, do you count the people who actually quit their jobs, sold their homes and moved to another state in order to break their ties with FPC and then moved back in state after a few years as being among the "saints" that were "stolen?" Seems like a lot of trouble for someone to go through just for the chance to wear a polo shirt.
What about those who were transfered by their employers to another city, say a city about 60 miles away? Did you help them load their furniture in a "saintly" fashion and wish them the best, or did you demand that they commute over 120 miles a day just to maintain their membership at FPC? And then when they finally did break away - how do you talk about them today? Just what sort of standards do you maintain?
Oh, one last thing... is Elder E. explaining these complexities to FPC membership to the new ones he's praying through? Or are you just going to spring it on them as a big surprise?

Good sir, I can't say that I totally agree with what Holinesspk said. What he stated may be true, but to put it out there like that was not a good thing to do, imo.
Now, I can't say that I know you and I only perceive that you know Holinesspk a little more than on a forum level (you have referenced his name).
FTR, the pastor being talked about is in Colorado Springs, not Monument. I don't think that we need to go any further there. From the examples that you have used to address Holinesspk, I would also perceive that you are familiar with the situation. I am as well though I do not live there. I wouldn't consider those that moved to a different state and moved back as those "stolen". And, if someone was transferred to another city, say about 60 miles away, I know that they were not commanded to commute 120 miles round trip to stay apart of that church. But know this, the Pastor being mentioned here is only 10 miles away from FPC.
I guess my beef about your whole post here is how responded to Hpk. I would venture to say that he has no say so whatsoever at all when it comes to what standards are held up and who was stolen. Get my drift?
Sorry to highjack your thread here Elder. Maybe I should have just kept on riding. I'm hoping to drop back by here and read some more wonderful reports, that is, if you all are continuing on.
God bless!
