I recall an incident while visiting with an uncle in the mountains of West Virginia some years ago, when some of his GUINEA FOWLS began making a lot of noise. When I asked him what was causing them to do that he said they must have found another snake, so off we went to where they were. When we arrived where these Guinea Fowl were prancing back and forth, cackling like crazy, there lay one of the largest Copperheads I have ever seen. My uncle took a garden hoe and killed it. I remember him telling me that those Guineas were the best defense one could ever get against snakes. He told me they won't try to kill them, just that they raise such a loud ruckus when they spot one, that they won't stop until it is either dead or gone.
