I think we need more of it because personally I think one of the reasons we see less healings is because God won't heal people of the destruction THEY have sown in themselves. They planted the seeds of death and pain. Why should God rush in to heal them of such things?
I am not one to say who God should or should not heal, I personally believe the gifts seem to be more active in conjunction with the introduction of the gospel (both geographically and personally).

However, I think the case can be made that pretty much all illness, and pain is the fault of humanity either directly or indirectly. When we realize there is no good thing in us - then we can better see God's will.
