Went back to check and he doesn't give a reference. Just says what you highlighted above.
Anyway, I'm not going to respond as I agree with one of the links that Mizpeh posts when it says, "Those who believe it interpret Scripture through a sort of “serpent seed lens,” and are not likely to accept other interpretations, no matter how well supported by context and scholarship."
