In regards to college records, it doesn't really matter. There is nothing in there that is going to change either sides mind. If Republicans really thought there was anything in them to help them, they would have found them and released them to the media long ago. If the media really thought there was a bombshell in there, they would have found them and released them long ago, just as they have in the past.

The California judge who released the Ryan records did so at the request of several media outlets, but it took a judge to give the order. Also, that was rather unprecedented - to release records that both parties (ex-husband and ex-wife) had specifically sought to keep sealed.
Almost all post graduate papers are available at the respective libraries of the degree granting institution. None of Barack Obama's papers are available anywhere. During the campaign and since, there have been many requests made to Harvard and the University of Chicago where he taught for copies of his published work. Nothing has been released.
And it's a shame really. He says that he holds to his mother's values in many ways. Her published work described the success of many free market types of innovations in the Third World such as micro-finance loans. Maybe a lot of people wouldn't be so paranoid if the President didn't appear to be so paranoid as well.
