The Arizona law is frightening because there is no way to enforce this state law without stereotyping....many of the ones fitting that description being US citizens. The police already have authority to investigate farther on anyone being charged with a crime so what is the purpose of a state law? The constitution doesn't allow for profiling in any situation and this is insane when we can't profile terrorists, drug dealers, or any other issue but this one. The judgement in it all is an issue we as Christians need to look inside ourselves to form our own oponions and quit drinking the left/right Kool Aid.
The Arizona law contains a mirror of US Law which dictates that non-citizens must carry papers at all times. The AZ law allows law enforcement to ask for those papers in certain circumstances, just as citizens must comply and show license and proof of insurance.

Before SB 1070 law enforcement could not ask for documentation or ask about legal status.
