Unfortunately, I've also heard of cases where the ex-wife had a restraining order and the ex-husband still came after her and killed her. No religion involved, just extreme hatred by the man against his wife.
I'd advise the lady to arm herself in a situation like this.

Good, practical advice. However, it isnt wise to advise a weapon of any type for self defense without proper training in basic weapon safety at the very least. In the case of firearms, proper training in defense shooting is also highly recommended. Hitting a moving target in low light in a high stress situation is very difficult even for professionals. Target range shooting does nothing to prepare one for such situations.
