You know, I was thinking about it and realized that lots of people don't get to hold their grandbabies when they are first born. Sometimes they live way too far away. Sometimes there is illness involved. All sorts of reasons. But that doesn't mean they love them any less. Nor does it mean that the grandchild will love the grandparents any less in years to come either.
Shoot! My boys never even met their grandma (my mom) until they 2 1/2 years old and 17 months old.

Yea, I was thinking about them moving next year. It's going to be a bummer, but I can't do anything about it. They will be putting their house on the market in February. I just want God's will in their lives either way.
Well, I think when kids are that young, 2 1/2, 17 months or a couple months like my grandson, they don't know if you held them or not. But, it's nice to be involved in their life.
And, yes, that was the highlight of my week for sure!!!
