Judges 14:20). Women were taken to wife as war spoils, and if a woman was raped or seduced, the man who did this to her was forced to pay her father for damages, marry her, and was never allowed to divorce her.
Women were property. For this reason, polyandry wasn't practiced among the Hebrews.
No doubt though, prostitutes and loose women had multiple suitors . However, this wasn't culturally acceptable.
