I just finished
Narcissism: Denial of the True Self by Dr. Alexander Lowen.
A fantastic, eye opening book, that, as much as it stung, dug into me quite a bit, actually. Things from my childhood, not dealt with, seemed to come to the surface while reading.
I recommend it anyone who has had a screwed up past.

PS. Content Alert. There is some language that not everyone will appreciate. It's not used for any purpose other than context, and is not part of the author's vocabulary, but rather acts as a conveyance of thought for how different people in the case studies he presents in the book actually felt about their situations.
Additionally, it deals with the Oedipedal complex and issues regarding sexuality and its retardation through abuse. Not light reading, to be sure.
