It's been my experience that kids with parents who are leaders in various capacities tend to also be leaders in their academics, school programs, and student community actions. Doesn't surprise me one bit.

I'm not sure if the kid's dad had any direct involvement in that issue. However, you'd think the dad would want his son to lay low and not draw any undue attention to the issue, seeing that it also stands to make the FBI look bad.
