Re: Chronicles of Narnia-C.S. Lewis
I read Narnia as a young child and did not pick up on any allegorical Christian symbolism. I read it again probably around 10-12, after reading about CS Lewis and was struck by how much there was.
My own children have read it and we had no concern.
Insofar as magic and sorcery is concerned, I would say these are allegories for the spirit world we do not perceive.
Just as a side note, go read or listen to The Last Battle.
It is very prescient to what is happening in our world, today.
