What does it being in the bible have to do with whether or not it's a sin?
Lev 19:29 Do not profane your daughter by making her a prostitute, so that the land does not practice prostitution and become full of lewdness.
Lev 21:9 If a daughter of a priest profanes herself by engaging in prostitution, she is profaning her father. She must be burned with fire.

Prostitution in the bible often was linked to idolatry, as in temple prositutes.
So, I'd venture a strong guess of my opinion being YES..it be a sin.
