NDE's

Something that has always troubled me are Near Death Experiences. I am sure you all know what they are. If it is true that you are not saved unless you follow the three step rule, why do all these people report being in heaven and seeing Jesus?
If you are supposed to be in an unconcious state (soul sleep) until the resurrection, what are these people experiencing? Another question arises, many unsaved people have said that they found themselves in torment, until they finally called out to Jesus. He then came and rescued them, and brought them to Paradise. What do you think?

Re: NDE's

My brother told me that when he flatlined he had a vision or a dream that he was on a jet airliner with a bunch of other people. The plane was landing and whoever didn't get off when it did land would die. When the plane landed our dad got him and carried him off. That's when the doctors revived him.

As for the bright shining light, someone said that was the devil transforming himself into an angel of light, so as to fool people into thinking they were saved.

I don't know the answers to your questions. All I do know is that when Walt's aneurysm ruptured, he was as near to death as anyone will ever get without being GONE. He's been asked many, many times if he had any visions or experiences while he was that far gone. He always says no. nothing.

Of course, my answer to him is that the reason he didn't see into eternity at that point was because God never intended to take him into eternity at that point. I believe that God planned to heal him right from the start. That this experience was specifically so that God would be honored and worshipped. But then, I could be wrong about that too. Who knows?

Re: NDE's

Well given that I've recently heard a lot of my husbands stories about what his father, that is on his deathbed, has been "seeing" I have to assume that wherever a person is going is what he gets "previews" of as they are on the final moments of their lives.
OF LATE, he is seeing some awful stuff., a recurring one is of being wheeled into the morgue, and someone picking up his body to hang on a meat hook!!!

He keeps talkin about it like he's seeing it!!! And he's scared!!!
BUT of course, he eventually comes back into reality.,
another occurrence is of seeing "dead" people in his room,
that is, they come to 'visit' him, people that he has known and are long dead.

As I've mentioned before he is NOT saved., he has always rejected the very
notion of GOD, and would not allow any of his family mbrs, especially his wife, to go to church. He often made fun of my husband and me, (when he isn't cursing me); the situation right now is gawdaful, they all hate me; the buzzards are already hovering.I can no longer go near there, while my husband is pretty much stuck there 24.7. DEATH can truly be awful, for some. He has requested cremation.

Wow, that is terrible. Seeing all that would be enough to send me running to God.

You have to wonder how a person could see all of that and not do a total turn-around. That's just sad. Some people don't get that kind of a "warning" and yet he is still rejecting the Lord. These are the ones that you have to say, "Father, forgive. They have no idea what they are doing."

But what of "consistency"?
TOday, we were told, its the end., that it should happen today sometime.

Sooo scary!! And sad, pls anyone/everyone include my husband Marton
in your prayers I know that he is devastated., already, having been the primary caregiver to him, these last several weeks, in which I've had to give him up, so to speak, to allow him to be there, and not at home with me. *sigh*
I was spared having to witness such when my only sis died some years back., I'm sure it HAS TO BE a most difficult, experience., yet he pretty much volunteered (it was more expected than anything just as with 2 uncles and a grandpa when he was in his teens) for hospice type care., (not that we could afford him to not be working) yet we know that our LORD provides.

A person that even to the end does NOT accept JESUS as savior, is doomed to a certain fate., he had some time to have done this, when he first found out about the cancer(s) 6wks ago.

NDEs are explained by scientists as chemical reactions in the brain

Re: NDE's

Scientists don't know everything., I'd like one of them to actually
experience a NDE and then wake up to tell about it.,

Or about a real experience with the ONE true GOD.
