Backpacks for Belize

Tonight we packed backpacks for six hours to distribute to children in Belize for Christmas. It was so much fun, but I am exhausted and I know I will be sore tomorrow - too much bending and picking up items and lifting boxes. Whew! Sometimes I forget that I'm not in my 30's. (Or 40's)

We have over 900 backpacks to hand out this year. We go Nov. 28 to Dec. 5, and I have a team of 18. Pray for us, for safety and health, and that we will be a blessing to those schools and to the children of Belize.

We will also attend a Spirit filled Mennonite church while we are there, as well as a Pentecostal church. We will do two days of VBS in two poor villages with no electricity, and we will get to buy beans and rice to distribute in the villages as well. It's gonna be a great trip!

I find it sad that this thread has only one response, so I must respond.

Sherri, I admire and respect you. Your heart for missions and reaching the lost is what it is all about! I pray God's special blessings for you and His protection while you travel!
