Burn a bible

I wish someone would burn a bible on easter just to see if otrauma would denounce the burning of" The Holy Bible" Of course the rest of us would have to threaten to riot and kill people.

Wow.

So what you're wanting, is for a bible to be burned to make a point. Deplorable post.

Re: Burn a bible

Well, wouldn't it be OK to burn any non-KJV Bible?

Re: Burn a bible

I remember when the RSV (Revised Standard Version) Bible was published. I remember seeing news articles about a minister throwing a copy of it into a tub of lye on his church platform and another minister taking a blowtorch to a copy and saying, "It's like the devil. It's hard to burn."

I was not going to a UPC church at that time but the UPC passed a resolution against the RSV Bible and published the resolution and an article condemning the RSV in the November 1953 issue of the Pentecostal Herald.
