Doctor confirms a case of deafness healed
I know that I can be a little skeptical when I hear healing reports when there are so many out there that are fraudulent, so it's awesome to see something like this.

That's great.
This isn't the one from GC thought, right?

Re: Doctor confirms a case of deafness healed
About 4 years ago my wife, who is completely deaf, was prayed for by an evangelist. He prayed for her and told her that her hearing would get better in a few days and over time she would be healed. Of course I had seen this all before and wasn't sure it would happen.
During the next few weeks my wife started hearing things to the point that she could hear me talk on the phone. Then, after about the third week, it all stopped. We are still not sure what happened but I couldn't wait until we could go get her hearing tested and of course we never did because she went back to being deaf again. Maybe it was just God showing her he could do it and that for reasons we don't understand he let her stay deaf.

I'm just not smart enough to give a good answer to this.
At the age of 72 (almost 73) and after being a Christian and Bible reader since 1955 there is still a lot I don't understand and that I don't know.

Re: Doctor confirms a case of deafness healed
I have at least a 70% hearing loss in my right ear. The doctor can find no explicable reason (even after an MRI). He did tell me, however, that is it possible I could spontaneously get some of that hearing back. He didn't tell me why. I just found that interesting.

I seriously doubt it. I trust God to do what is right and just. It may be that he has my wife deaf for reasons that we don't know. Maybe deep down she really doesn't want to hear because it would be such a big change.
All in all it doesn't matter, I know God can do it but I also know that after a season we can assume that he has answered our prayers in a way other than healing.

Re: Doctor confirms a case of deafness healed
LOL! A lack of faith?
You know that story about the 4 men walking in the midst of the fire and when they come out they don't even smell like smoke?
I read this whole thread almost deaf in one ear and not having enough faith never even crossed my mind.
Good grief. I'm really glad!!! LOL!! The wisps of smoke of guilt and condemnation for being deaf in one ear are nowhere to be seen around me.

Can you give some details to this story? I really would like to have something like this to present. I dont HAVE to have medical proof but when such a case is available it is a good testimony.

Hello! Sorry, I just saw this. I don't know these people personally - someone just linked this to me. If you want the contact info of those who were actually there for the healing, PM me and I'll send it to you.
