Looking for a church

Just sort of peeking in.

I'm looking for a church in Denton, Texas. It has to be in Denton, I'm without a car. I don't want somewhere flakey and fake. Have had way, way, way more than enough of that. Doesn't have to be Oneness, doesn't have to be Apostolic, I probably won't go if it's UPC. I just want to find somewhere real, without a dress code (written or unwritten). Somewhere women are allowed to minister is mandatory. I'm not there yet..but I'm going that direction, someday. I desperately need to be somewhere where God matters more than politics and a person's relationship with God is priority over absolutely anything else.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message

Stay home.

I could do that. But doesn't the Bible say something about not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together..? Know of any home churches?

Start one.

We have had many discussions Nahkoe. Your knowledge and insight are driven by your desire to be what God would have you to be. You hunger in the Spirit, I have always admired that about you.

There are plenty like you out there. Humbly seeking the truth through the insight of the Spirit. Find them, learn together. Humble seekers are far more powerful and beneficial to God than those who are settled in what they desire or have been raised as truth.

I don't know where your self-confidence level stands, but I believe this is something you can do.

My self-confidence level is in the basement right now. I'm sure someday I could start one, but I'm pretty sure today isn't that "someday."

Re: Looking for a church

I could not recommend a church that is not in line with what the Apostles taught.
