Labels are words. Nobody owns words

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Some (even here) think they own the word "Apostolic". The others are just pretenders!

Re: Do We Own the "Apostolic" and "Christian" Labe
Apostolic ought to be viewed as an adjective, not a noun.
Just like 'pentecostal' - it ought to be an adjective, not a noun or 'brand name'.

If you believe that just try using the once generic term "Windows" when trying to market something other than a window.

He's not confused.
I thought what he said was funny, but it's appropriate for the conversation.
I agree with him.
And yes, there are situations where an Acts 2:38 believer can indeed own the "Apostolic" label, like when he decides to incorporate his church and form an organization using that word.

Gee...how comforting you agree with Randy that we can copy right names of businesses..
Is that the topic? He wasn't talking about incorporating a church. He was talking about being able to call ourselves "Apostolic"..any individual can call themselves Apostolic and if we want to be dumb yes you can even say to your friends "I'm a window"
