Answering my 9 year olds questions
1) How is hell bad if you’re dead and don’t feel anything?

The looming threat of hell for the lost is for the living, to show them what they will miss out on in the grave, which is eternal life in the presence of God forever.

Obviously it couldn't be physical pain but spiritual, what ever that might be

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Plz break it down for a 9 yr old, on my behalf.
The only pain he knows is physical, break a leg on the football field etc...

There are two kinds of hell: one is the grave and its where everybody goes when they die. They don't feel anything and are kind of like they're sleeping. The other hell is the lake of fire. All the dead will one day wake up and come alive again, to meet Jesus. They will be judged and whoever doesn't have their name in His Book of Life will be cast into that lake of fire to be burned. They will burn until they perish. Then there will be no more sin, no more sinners, and no more death. The other hell (the grave) will also be destroyed in the lake of fire. Then, all the universe will only have goodness and holiness, forever and ever.

It's bad because the choice is life... and death. Life is good, death is bad. We plan on having life forever with Jesus. We want you to as well. Wouldn't you want to live forever in happiness with Jesus and all the people of God?
