Church of God preacher
A friend recently sent me some preaching by Kevin Wallace in Chattanooga, TN. I've now listened to a few of his sermons and I am curious if any have information on him. From what I've found he used to be COG, but has disaffiliated. He mentions his holiness background a lot during his preaching. Most of the sermons I've seen, he's preaching in a suit. His preaching is dynamic, his scripture insight is good and the brother can flat sing.
Does anyone on here know anything about him?
Any thoughts?

May I ask what you are your thoughts?

Something I've noticed over the last 20 years is churches making their public statements of belief as vague and generalised as possible.

Yup.
Btw, it appears that they do not believe in the speaking in tongues as the evidence of receiving the Spirit but as “an” evidence.
Quote: Speaking in tongues, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, is a physical indication of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
A lot of the watering down of doctrine has to do with inclusivity, which has to do with growing the congregation, which has to do with money, and/or power.
Of course, they won’t accept that. The genuine congregation growth desire rooted in love is the one that cheers your coming and accepts you, and then in all truth teaches you what you should work towards to be saved and please God.

Would explain why there are tons of churches that are “Pentecostal,” but no one speaks in tongues.

You know I’ve noticed it as well. Everyone is kind of the same now. Baptists, Methodists, nondenominational, charismatic…. Sinners prayer, accept the Lord, get baptized in a pool.
Hard to understand why so many are deceived.
