Worship Service: Pre-historic or Current Top 40
With a little sense of humor...
I'm always curious to know who's singing what for the worship service. Does your worship service currently consist of songs your grandparents sang back in the day or songs you could hear and easily recognize on the local "Top 40" Christian station? What songs make up your worship service?

About 75% Hillsong is what we sing

We sing mostly modern songs although we do a few older songs with modern variations etc. A few of our songs would include...
Breathe On Me
For Who You Are
Heart Of Worship
Closer/Wrap Me In Your Arms
Shout Unto God
Give Us Clean Hands
Where Would I Be
etc

Love me some Hillsong! And we've included them in our line-up. Others, of course, I can't forget Kari Jobe, Desperation Band, Eddie James, Chris Tomlin...(others to be listed)

Oh yeah, I'm all for the older songs, don't get me wrong. But, singing them with a modern twist, I definitely love!

Yeah... they are some of the best ones.
When we sing "Where Would I Be" we then transition into singing other older songs to the same tune.
Where Would I Be You only know
I'm Glad you see through eyes of love
is replaced with..
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
I once was lost but now I'm found
and
Precious Lord please take my hand
Oh lead me on and let me stand
etc. I LOVE IT. it is so powerful

WOW! I love when songs flow from one to another, talk about a move of the Spirit. One time we had a guy come in and lead our worship service. He's come several times, but this specific time, he tied in "You Are So Beautiful To Me...can't you see?" after singing another song (can't remember which one). But the presence of God was so strong and deep, it was amazing...

We do about 2/3 contemporary, 1/3 hymns sung in contemporary style.

Yeah, we also sing older hymns but in acoustic style from time to time. Most of the time, it's loud and lively with mainly current songs...
