In the time I have spent on NFCF and here I have noticed a number of cliques and partnerships. Most notably is when two people are in a dispute there will be a "friend" backing one of the persons up. That same "friend" who was backing this person up will be unheard from in a similiar situation that does not involve his or her buddy.
When it comes to disputes or discussions on the forum or defending someone against accusations or when it comes to the forum rules being broken, do you consider yourself even handed? Or do you only report a post when it involves a friend on the receiving end of a hot argument?
Do you oppose certain people just because your friends to do? Do you oppose or support certain posters simply because they are ideologically or theologically aligned with you, no matter how wrong they might be in a dispute?
Do you find yourself reporting posts only when you feel a friend has been insulted or when someone that is theologically/ideologically aligned with you gets insulted. Or do you report a post even handed across the board no matter what their theology is or no matter how much you like or dislike that person?
__________________ Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
No. I mean, yes. I mean, no. Wait, what was the question?
I don't know, I don't think I have ever reported a post? I think there was one situation were I was seriously upset over a post, but I don't think I had ever even heard of the person who posted it before, so it wasn't a specific thing towards him.
I try to stay away from the really controversial stuff, it just frustrates me.
And, apparently, I only have one friend, sooo.....

I've noticed that too, but I won't do that. I feel that if any of my friends are in a discussion (unless it's one I'm interested in as well), they are on their own when it comes to their words and beliefs. If I'm involved in the discussion, it won't be because a friend is involved, but because it's a topic of interest.

I rarely report posts, but I've reported nasty posts directed at people I don't even care for......LOL! If it's wrong, it's wrong.

I think there are a lot of people on this forum that I consider friends even though we are on opposite sides of certain issues. There are also friends I have on this forum that might not get along with other friends I have on this forum. It's not a big deal. We all have different tastes in friends and some of us see things in others that some don't see.

I rarely report posts anyway, but it has nothing to do with theological beliefs or whatever.

I agree.
