Why do some...
send people to hell as if it's a trip to Disneyland? I've heard it preached, but also on this forum.
While it is our duty to get as many people into heaven as possible, is sending them to hell the way to do it? I mean, hell sounds pretty bad going from the bible, and that's an understatement.
So why the, "SUCH AND SUCH IS GOING TO HELL!!!  "
Just my thoughts.

It is usually said with the assumption that "SUCH AND SUCH IS GOING TO HELL!!!" -because they are doing THIS and I AM NOT!

I've wondered the same thing. Some of them are so loose and lacking sincerity when they say that makes me feel like they are happy about it.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Reminds me of some of "our" stoopider songs..like no bobbed hair in heaven.
Shouting and dancing the aisles as we sing of those we percieve to be lost as two boys kissin'

Whenever someone says "So-and-so's going to hell" so flippantly, to me it indicates a lack of love for the lost soul.
Too many times their words carry an undertone that sounds something like: "They're going to hell... and that'll show 'em."
