You know, Muslims consider the Nation of Islam to be a non-Muslim group because the NoI believes that "Master Fard" was God. When Malcolm X wanted to go to Mecca, he had to do some pretty fast talking to convince the Saudis that he'd renounced this belief. Apparently he passed the test.

Those of us that grew up in NYC and Detroit are VERY familiar with the beliefs of the Nation of Islam. They've always been kinda off. Every major denomination within the above cities have lost members to the Nation of Islam (usually because the person goes to jail and someone converts them). But yeah, I know all about them. Get this, just like Christianity, the Islamic Religion has MANYYYYYYYYYY denominations (and the Nation of Islam is just one of them).
