The simplicity of god
This is how I view our God. Anyone agree?
God is the head, brain and life of His body of believers and His name is Jesus Christ (Y'shua)
We are merely small intelligent cells/parts of His body ( 1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
head/life--- Colossians 1:15-18
head-- Ephesians 1:22
Brain/intelligence--- Colossians 2:3

Re: The simplicity of god
i think he is more than that. as christians, he is the head of the body of christ. as humans, we are created in his image and he is the breath of life or spirit that animates every human. acts 17 says in him we live and move and have our being, so i believe he is the spirit of consciousness that pervades all of creation.

Re: The simplicity of god
I refer you to the recent image of twins in the womb, Matt, and agree that there is a sense in which this must be true, if God is All in All. I think if your def of "cells" expands just a hair, and you similarly leave the next strictly untrue definitions that may occur aside for the moment, the body of Christ is not without its actually quite amazing comparisons to a human body, although you're touching on the oh-so-apparent sensitivities of God-modalism, which frankly any further...attempted expansion of doctrine here might cause several heads to explode, so we wonder if it would be possible if you expressed your idea in such a way as to offend none of our sensibilities, kinda like speaking in tongues, maybe; is there some way you could say this where no one actually understands you, that would actually be great, ty, we'll just interpret : )

Re: The simplicity of god
Hmm, ya, "Yeshua" just resonates better than all that, for sure. You should be able to get a much better image of your part in creation with a fully developed "body" image, imo.

Re: The simplicity of god
Uh...no
God is Spirit. He is not a giant man and we are his blood cells

Re: The simplicity of god
Man, there sure is to me. Thank you, God, that the wise are confounded, and do not grasp that the best lessons come from children, and dogs. We are part of a body, and a study of this concept by a seeker will yield useful parallels. You will not try to be a hand when you are in the role of "foot," etc. The anus, as usual, seems to be working fabulously...
