interesting words by Obama

I'm not a huge political guy but was listening to Obama talk about the Arizona law saying something like "no law abiding person whether a citizen or illegal should walk under suspicion" maybe not word for word but the "law abiding whether citizen or ILLEGAL" is accurate.

now I thought it was interesting refering to an illegal as a law abiding citizen.

I guess the open borders crowd have already spoken...it's not really illegal to be illegally here in their minds

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

While it is funny that he put it that way, you both know exactly what he meant.

I know exactly what he meant, or at least what his intentions were... he is trying to put forth the perception that people who break the law are not criminals... and to legitimize this particular activity.

I've traveled extensively overseas and everywhere I go, I am required to carry my passport and sometimes a visa and other documentation with me with the appropriate seals and stamps otherwise I risk fines, imprisonment or deportation.

If I'm expected to do this in other countries, then people who come to THIS country should be expected to do the same.

Sigh... I just looked up the quote... I need to start validating stories before replying:

"No law abiding person, be they an American citizen, a legal immigrant, or a visitor or tourist from Mexico should ever be subject to suspicion simply because of what they look like.".

That actually changes the meaning a bit. I have less of a problem with the statement as written above, however I AM in favor of profiling to catch criminals so I still have to disagree with the last part of his statement... if a guy with big ears robs a store, you don't look for people with little ears just to be politically correct.

...and if you don't look like you are from some place, then the police in that "some place" have every right to pull you over 20 times a day if they want to check your papers. I have no issue with that at all.

You usually always have to validate anti-Obama stuff on the internet. Lots of deceit spewing forth about him.

I agree with his statement. No person he described in that quote should stopped simply because they look the part of an illegal alien.

Re: interesting words by Obama

It kind of changes things when you get the wording of what someone actually said correct before you go to bash them.
