Thank You Note from the First Lady

Dear American Taxpayer

  For only the second time in my adult life, I am not ashamed of my country. I want to thank the hard working American people for paying $242 thousand dollars for my vacation in Spain . My daughter Sasha, several long-time family friends, my personal staff and various guests had a wonderful time. Honestly, you just haven't lived until you have stayed in a $2,500.00 per night suite at a 5-Star luxury hotel. Thank you also for the use of Air Force 2 and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times.
  
Air Force 2 only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. These are only rough estimates, but they are close. That's quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined carbon footprint.
  
I know times are hard and many of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet. I do appreciate your sacrifice and do hope you find work soon. I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days.

She having a fine time spending the "MANS" money.Yessa, the man been keeping us down all these years, its time for a pay back ! Clintons crew walked off with all the w's off the computer key boards and a bunch of other stuff, wonder what they are gonna leave with.Can i just take the "beast "back to Chicago with me and a driver too if ya dont mind.

In portugal all or most the world leaders showed up in electric cars, not ole BO !!He a talker not a do er!

Why do you consider that post racist?

It played on one of Ms. Obama's public remarks that she for the first time in her life she was proud of her country back during the politicking. She made the statement. It was public. It was recorded in sound, picture, and print. For the first time in her life she was proud of her country. That could be taken as a racist statement from her.

The rest of the post was about the egregious squandering of taxpayers' money as she and friends had a fabulous vacation in Europe and then the much criticized trip to India. Not only was a lot of money spent but a lot of fuel was consumed. In my opinion this displays her contemptuous attitude toward the American people who paid for her trip.

Why is it that if anyone criticizes BHO that person is immediately branded as a racist? Don't you think it is possible for a person to criticize our President (or his wife) for any reason without it being an issue of race?

what does Moochelle mean? that is racist. traveling expenses are the same for democrats and republicans. the first family has unique circumstances, no matter the party.

to get or take at another's expense would be the way the money was spent with callous disregard as to how it looked when the taxpayers who footed the bill are being asked to tighten up

I realize people in positions of authority and power can get carried away with delusions of their own importance and privilege and I'm sure it happens with members of both parties,
but,
the way Nancy Pelosi insisted on flight accommodations compared to the way John Boehner will travel seems to show a difference between a couple of individuals.
